Remembering September 11th, 2001

The Board of Directors of Protect and Defend, a California non-profit corporation has approved to amend the by-laws of the corporation in the following manner:

1) Increase dues from the current $25 yearly to $35 for 2010 renewals and $45 for every year thereafter excluding any processing costs.

2) Change corporation officer’s terms from a one (1) year term to a (2) year term starting for the 2011 Board of Directors. Also allowing regions the ability to vote to change Regional Director’s terms from (1) year terms to (2) year terms.

The largest Las Vegas party involving LGBT Military and Public Safety is in Las Vegas during the weekend of September 17-19 2010. Cops, firefighters and military personell from throughout the United States will be sporting Las Vegas social passes and be rallying at the famous Luxors Temptation Sundays pool party which will include a Cop, Firefighter and military auction!! Members of the public can e mail our organizaton for any questions or to get specific details about this big fundraiser. Events are planned at various clubs, check out this website for details. With the word traveling throughout the country, Protect and Defend has just cleared 490 members going into its 5th year of incorporation. The organization attributes its strong membership support and staff philosophy that the Members get top of the line service. With only 5 volunteer board members and 5 volunteer staff members, the organization has commitees and personell that work hard to spread the good word of Protect and Defend. As renewals continue to go out from the Membership team, Members are renewing without phone calls or being tracked down. Members also are getting more involved in staff positions. We welcome anyone who is involved in the professions of Protect and Defend to join us !

The summer pool season is right around the corner and the Luxor is going to do it again this summer with the hottest LGBT pool party. The hotel will launch the brand new version of their party, this year called Temptation Sundays on Sunday May 23, 2010.

Each Sunday during the summer expect to see the hottest guys and gals pool side. Every week the party will have a new and exciting theme from "King & Queen of the Pool" to "Cowboys of Summer" and many more. The pool bar will also be featuring what they are calling Summer Sundaes, tasty adult beverages that are inspired from your favorite childhood ice cream treats like a banana split and a chocolate sundae.

Temptation Sundays will be hosted by J.Son of Naked Boy News and will feature music by DJ Axis. Look forward to some special celebrity guests to co-host throughout the summer. A full events schedule will be available soon on the event's facebook and twitter page.

Temptation Sundays will start at 1:00pm and go till 7:00pm every Sunday at Luxor. Admission is $10 for NV ID/Military/Hotel guests and all others are $20. Complimentary admission will be from 1:00pm to 2:00pm if you are on the guest list.
