Board of Directors and Staff

 

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is the governing board of Protect and Defend, and is established in our bylaws as follows:

  • President
  • Vice President
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Member-at-Large
  • Military Liaison
  • Regional Directors (for regions that have been officially recognized)

Any member in good standing of Protect and Defend can be elected to become a Board Member.  Due to the nature of Protect and Defend, the Monthly Regular Worksessions of the board are conducted via a Conference Call Bridge.  Any member in good standing my join the call and listen in on the actions of the board.  Contact information can be found at the top of each meeting Agenda.  Each Board Member serves a two-year term.

Staff

Staff positions are appointed by the Board of Directors and may include:

  • Events Coordinator
  • Public Information Officer
  • Webmaster
  • Membership Coordinator
  • Chaplain
  • General Counsel


Depending on geographic areas, the Board of Directors may designate certain persons to be "liaisons” to particular areas or professions, for example – San Diego liaison. These positions are appointed by the Board of Directors on an as-needed basis.  Each state that reaches over 20 members must have an attorney who volunteers their time to work with the membership in that area.
