Protect and Defend

Protect and Defend is a non profit 501 (c) 3 organization that consists of gay and lesbian peace officers, service members in all branches of the armed forces and governmental entities. 

The organization strives to educate the public through community forums throughout the state, host fundraiser's and legal/counseling support for gay and lesbian public safety and military personnel.  

Protect and Defend donates over $2,000 per year to gay and lesbian charities in California and Nevada. 

Each year we host a private venue that attracts gay and lesbian public safety and military from throughout the world, this rare event is called “PARTY IN THE DESERT – PID”.  This venue is hosted at a private hotel in Palm Springs California July 26-28 and is a professional pool party weekend with bar, BBQ, Social Games and a annual meeting of these highly trained professionals to help advance our Mission Statement, striving to be a part of the gay, lesbian community. At this event, Protect and Defend will donate to a charity in the Cochella Valley that serves the gay and lesbian community.

The purpose of this event is to foster a ongoing communication and relationship with members of our profession throughout the United States and beyond.

Below are the various sponsor criteria’s and the marketing benefits offered through our organization for you or your business.  This includes funding OR product donations or services that total the sponsor amount.

$1,000 – CORPORATE SPONSOR – 5 Complimentary Social Passes

$500 – FIRE HOUSE SUPPORTER – (2) Complementary Social Passes for the event

$300 – “DESERT HEAT SUPPORTER”

Sponsorship for Party in the Desert can work in many ways.  Businesses or Private Persons can donate to the organization via pay-pal or by sending a check to Protect and Defend (PO Box 1702, Colton California 92324).  Checks should be made payable to Protect and Defend and we encourage talks with a member of our staff prior to any donation so we can ensure that you are satisfied with your donation and expectations.

PRODUCT DONATIONS
Protect and Defend welcomes all sorts of product donations for our events that we hold all year.  For Party in the Desert (PID) items we strive to get donated each year are listed below:

FOOD: Hotdog, Hamburger Buns, Potato or Nacho Chips, Hotdogs, Hamburgers or Chicken Breast meat. Cookies and Candy.

BEVERAGES: Sodas, Juices, Bottled Water, Fruit Juices and ANY other beverage that would be located at a bar or restaurant.

RENTALS : Vehicle (Shuttle service for weekend), Party Props such as misting fans, large canopies,  Ice Blenders and Machinery for beverages,  Power Point Projectors and BBQ Grills.

WELCOME BAGS: The staff of PID and Protect and Defend welcomes the many travelers to the Palm Springs desert every year.  Keeping a tradition of hospitality, each traveler is given an “Event Welcome Bag”; this is a bag that contains items from our various sponsors and supporters from throughout the world. If you have an item that bears the name of your business or product that you would like to see distributed to over 10 states and 3 countries, let us know.  The total amount of items necessary to distribute to all members is ONLY 170 ITEMS.  ITEMS SHOULD BE SHIPPED TO THE HOST HOTEL DIRECTLY; this can be coordinated by contacting the event coordinator by e mailing: Richcd5@aol.com.  This is including but not limited to, fliers or brochures, souvenirs or gadgets relating to your product, we have never turned an item away.  ALL SPONSORS RECEIVE A WELCOME BAG THEMSELVES, T SHIRTS ARE ENCOURAGED

The staff of Protect and Defend is dedicated to partnering with members of our business community.  We encourage all our donors to come out for this rare social event and meet the men and women who are protecting our country and beyond.  Since Party in the Desert is a secured event, all attendees are required to sign a confidentiality clause and register with our registration team (all are peace officers), the event is a reflection of the organizations past and future.
